On Extended Hiatus

I finally wrote my way to the end of my novel--the one I've been working on and occasionally blogging about for the past five years. To all of you who encouraged me, I can't thank you enough. Now I'm immersed in the editing process.

I'm also working with Larry Portzline to finish Defying Gravity, Too:  Ten Extraordinary Men & Their Encore Careers.  Both books should be ready to sell later this year.  I'm not sure when I'll be back to blogging, but Larry and I post daily on our Defying Gravity Facebook page and on Twitter.  (Click on the links to see some of the great info we've shared.)  We'd love you to join us!

6/8/10:  A quick update:  I'm more than half-way done editing my novel and Larry is making serious progress as well.  Stay tuned.  --pb

  7. Congratulations, Prill! That's quite an achievement. Many people say "I have a novel inside me." Only the serious follow through. Enjoy a well-earned break.

  10. Not yet, Diane, though thanks for checking. I'm working on cleaning up the manuscript to give the book to my writing group this Friday so that they can do a cover-to-cover read-through.

  12. Congratulations! Though I've never replied in your other posts, I've always enjoyed reading your entries. And this news of an impending hiatus saddens me. On the brighter side, I can't wait to see your book in the bookstores later this year.

  13. I'm so happy for you, Prill! Congratulations! I loved the editing process when I wrote my 2 children's books. My editor would put me in the "think tank." I learned so much during the editing stage.
    Again, so happy for you!

  14. Thank you all for your support and kind comments. I can't tell you how much they mean to me. Only two more chapters to go as far as editing my novel is concerned. Such an exciting process I've been going through bringing the story in my head to the page--to breathe life into it. All of you who've asked me to check out your blogs, I promise I will. I wish each of you much luck as well. --Prill

  15. Hi Prill, I am also excited for your novel and I can’t wait to read it. If I get a copy of that I will share it to my fellow courses online.
