Book Recommendation

Looking for a great, start-of-the-school-year read?

If you haven’t done so already, pick up a copy of Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers: The Story of Success.

Outliers addresses the question: How do people like Bill Gates become so extraordinarily successful? Do they have higher intelligence than the rest of us? More ambition?

Not necessarily, Gladwell says.

Have they put more hours of practice into their respective endeavors?

You bet.

What role does one’s culture, community and family play in fostering success?

More than you might imagine.

Outliers is Gladwell’s most compelling book to date and his conclusions, while surprising, are well-supported. It's worth a read.

  1. The components of success are always of interest to me! (Especially after reading hundreds of success books and writing one.)
I've not heard of this one so I'll have to seek it out.
