When was the last time
you swung on a tire?
Note: The above profile pic was taken by Scott Mullen for an article about me in a local newspaper. I've known Scott since elementary school, but until this shoot, hadn't seen him in 36 yrs. How cool is that?
Too long ago. Now off to find one!
ReplyDeleteI love this photo of you! It made me feel happy. It will be quite sometime before I can swing on a tire... lots of snow here in WI yet and we are just getting over 40 degrees below zero temps. I'd freeze in mid-air on a tire! But, I can dream about it and I thank you for the great image in my mind.

Oh, gosh, I think I feel a poem coming on! Seriously. Such childhood memories. When we first moved into a new home in California, we had no trees. So I hung a tire swing from our rafters in the garage. Every child should have one. (-:

If you get a chance to swing, take it. It's a wonderful thing to do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful photo! You are one of the youngest spirits I know.
ReplyDeleteI haven't swung in a while, but when I have (as an adult) it's been great fun.
Is the picture for something in particular, or just for you?
Patrice-- The photo was taken for an article in a local newspaper.
ReplyDeleteSilly me! Of course you said that right underneath.
ReplyDeleteWhen and where will the article appear? Is it online?
Hey Patrice-- No problem. I'm often quite silly myself. Here's a link you can cut and paste into your browser:
