At the risk of quoting from the
NY Times ad nauseam, here's another gem about late bloomers becoming positive role models for the next generation. Titled "When Parents Leave the Nest," the story describes author Lynn Ermann's adjustment to the news that her 60-year old parents are heading off to live in Hong Kong with her 95-year old grandmother. Here's the part I like best:
Like so many in their generation, my parents are remaking the rules once again. Watching them has liberated us, too. Suddenly our own lives seem less circumscribed, less finite. We can always go nuts at 60.
